今天是一年一度的国庆节，是祖国妈妈的第五十三个生日。一早我们来到了街上，街上处处张灯结彩洋溢着一片节日的气氛。马路上人山人海，被挤得水泄不通，小朋友们手拿着各种各样的彩色气球，高高兴兴地跟着他的爸爸妈妈一起去玩。

我们来到了人民广场，那里最吸引我的是喷泉了。喷泉有三层，最外面的一层像燃放的烟花，那溅落下来的小水珠在阳光的照射下闪闪发光就像一串串的珍珠。第二层就像一株株茁壮成长的小草。最中间的喷泉是从一座金塑像的头上喷射出来的，就像火箭似的直入云霄，飞溅出来得小水滴像毛毛细雨，被风一吹飘到身上非常凉快真是舒服极了。旁边还有一道喷泉就更奇了，从这边的泉眼喷出落到另外一个小池中就像跨天空的彩虹。还有边上的一道就像一条条的鲤鱼在跳龙门真是有趣极了。因为我要去买书不得不依依不舍地离开这美丽的喷泉。来到了新华书店我又轻而易举地找到我需要的。

虽然今年的国庆节我没到外地去旅游，但是我很开心，真希望所有的小朋友都和我一样开开心心度过这个节日。

国庆节那天，我和姥爷去孝义市府前广场玩。

广场北面是市委政府办公大楼，座北朝南，十二层高，七十多米宽，蓝色玻璃窗户，灰色楼顶，粉色的楼身，雄伟壮观，美极了。楼门前面有十二根粗壮的大理石柱子，挂着四个大红灯笼，正中悬挂着庄严的国徽，无数彩旗迎风飘扬。正门前二十九阶台阶上用花盆摆成“国庆”两字，十分显眼。楼前二十多米处高耸的旗杆上五星红旗迎风招展。

广场南面是高大的贸易大楼，楼顶中央有激光探照灯，灯光射得好远呀，能射到几千几万里。

整个广场东西一百五十米宽，南北有四百多米长，到处是草坪，到处是鲜花。中央有大喷泉，每个星期六晚上都演“水幕电影”。广场中间自西向东是一条府前大街，轿车川流不息，自行车、摩托车来来往往，过路人看见了都说：“这儿太美了，以后要常来参观！”
